BIO
Kerry Nietz is the premier author of curious science fiction. He has fifteen speculative novels in print, along with two novellas, a handful of short stories, and a non-fiction book, FoxTales.
Kerry’s novel A Star Curiously Singing won the Readers Favorite Gold Medal Award and is notable for its dystopian, cyberpunk vibe in a world under sharia law. It is often mentioned on “Best of” lists. ASCS has spawned two sequels and a four-book parallel series.
Among his writings, Kerry's most talked about is the genre-bending Amish Vampires in Space. AViS was featured on the Tonight Show and in the Washington Post, Library Journal, and Publishers Weekly. Newsweek called it “a welcome departure from the typical Amish fare.”
Kerry is a refugee of the software industry. He spent more than a decade of his life flipping bits, first as one of the principal developers on FoxPro and then as one of Bill Gates's minions at Microsoft. He is a husband, a father, a technophile and a movie buff.

The folks at Shepherd.com found my book "A Star Curiously Singing" and contacted me about making a recommendation list for them.
Shepherd is an up-and-coming list-based book browsing site. A little like wandering through your local bookstore...but online. (It's run by bookshop.org. A bookselling site with a local bookstore focus.)
My task was to come up with unique list and five books to populate it. Tough chore, because I have lots of favorites. The books also have to have some tie to mine--enough that they could share a list together. That made it a little easier.
Anyway, here's my list. All are books that I've read and enjoyed. Check it out.
